Jev versus ticket queues: a practical comparison

A ticket queue is a buffer with SLA clocks, assignment, and status. Jev can choose a queue name or priority band. It does not store tickets.

Unofficial. Complements traditional routing. docs.typesafe.ai. No keys.

Comparison scope

Zendesk, Jira, ServiceNow, and Linear remain systems of record. Jev is a classifier you run on create/update webhooks.

Criteria that decide the architecture

Axis Jev (System One) Ticket queues
Persistence None The point of the tool
Assignment Suggest a team via Choice Round-robin / load
SLA Not a clock Wins
Priority Score 2–10 if you define levels Your scheme

Decision quality and control

Misroutes are a Jev + threshold problem. Missed SLAs are a staffing problem. Do not use a Score expectation as a minute estimate — jaggedness: do not interpolate magnitudes from Score levels.

Integration trade-offs

On ticket created: build a small state, ask intent Choice + urgency Score + “needs human now” Noul, then create with those fields. Pin the model. Keep regex for order IDs.

TypeSafe’s public models page lists jev-1.13 at $0.042 per million input tokens with output tokens free — a vendor claim, not a jev.pro measurement. Confirm on the models page before you bid.
